Ohio River High Water Update:
With the unusual amount of rain and severe weather experienced this week, the Ohio River is rising and is currently approaching approximately 40 feet. Village officials, together with Prus Construction, are closely monitoring river forecasts and gauge elevations to protect New Richmond’s new riverfront docks. Prus has also been coordinating with its marine construction partner, C&B Marine, which is prepared to mobilize to New Richmond and stage a work barge at the boat dock if conditions warrant.
The Village and construction team will continue watching river levels closely and will take whatever action is necessary to secure and protect the docks as conditions develop. These new docks are an important investment in New Richmond’s riverfront, and the Village and project team are committed to taking appropriate precautions to protect them during periods of high water.
